About us

The Vessel Productions was created from a desire to create freely and create a platform where we could explore our potential.

The company initiated its first performance “The Vessel” in 2023 and has since then performed internationally while creating “Föra & Följa” and a new productions under way.

Since its premiere at Dynamo Workspace in January 2023, The Vessel has stood out as a groundbreaking work in contemporary circus. By blending conceptual circus research with seamless flow and high-level technique, the show merges creativity, precision, and innovation.

The minimalist scenography enhances the impact of the performance, focusing on a few key elements that are explored in depth and woven into the narrative. Even complex technical aspects, such as prop transitions, are seamlessly integrated, contributing to the show’s fluidity and elegance.

Inspired by Norse mythology, circus artistry and folk music intertwine in a delicate performance about identity and self-confidence.

In Sway & Shadow, we meet circus artist Sarah Lett and violinist Thea Åslund. In this performance, the cyr wheel symbolizes the importance of having an inner space—a personal bubble—where one can reflect and connect with oneself. Listening to our inner voice makes it easier to find our own path in life. Thea’s musical character is inspired by the Norse mythology figure Fylgja (Shadow), a loving, protective guide who helps us navigate life and carries forward the love passed down through generations.

Grapes & Glory is a 40-minute circus performance by Imogen Huzel, Nelli Kujansivu, Lisa Angberg, and Sarah Lett, created for young audiences. What begins as an ordinary meal spirals into a surreal world filled with playful, unexpected twists. Blending high-level circus with imagination and humor, the show explores a future that’s both strangely familiar and wonderfully weird.

With hope and creativity at its core, Grapes & Glory invites young people to dream boldly and see the world through new eyes.
